Before Visiting a Dallas Collision Repair Location

We're there from the moment of impact to the day you get your vehicle back from us. We’d like to take a minute to offer some advice about how to handle the accident scene itself. (Then, when you do call a Dallas collision repair shop, you'll be prepared for any questions.)

If you've had an accident, calm yourself as much as possible. One way to accomplish this is to begin writing down information you think will be useful to police, your insurance provider or emergency workers. It helps to make the following observations at the scene:

Before impact – try to remember how fast you were going and what other cars might have been doing
After impact – how are all of the cars positioned before they're moved
People – note their positions after the crash, compared to before the crash
Street names – note the nearest intersections and cross streets
Injuries, damage – observe whether anyone is injured, and what type of injuries they incurred

Also, if it is at all possible, take pictures of the site. Using a camera or camera-phone – whatever is available to you – snap a few photos of the cars, license plates, the damage, skid marks and debris. Let responding police officers know you have them if they're needed, and file them in a safe place at your earliest convenience.
