It’s no secret that supporting our military service members is something Caliber Collision is proud to drive through everything we do, whether in our centers or in our communities. Over the years, we’ve proudly created and participated in several programs to help give back to those who gave so much, such as Recycled Rides, Changing Lanes, Hire Our Heroes, Allies in Service and Heroes on the Water. All have been a success, but we have no intention of letting the clock run out on our mission to help restore the rhythm of their lives.
We started the Caliber Military Combine as another way to support our military service men and women. And we are so proud to team up with the Dallas Cowboys, yet again, to host our second annual Military Combine. This past Saturday, hosted at The Ford Center at the Star, the preliminary round kicked off with an entertaining and emotionally powerful day as our heroes’ friends and families all showed up to show their appreciation. Fans stood proud, filling the stadium with hoots and hollers of support, as each participant competed in the same drills as those at the NFL Combine, like the 40-yard dash, broad jump, endurance test, push-ups/sit-ups and medicine ball toss. Each all-American laid it all out on the yard-lines in hopes of grinding through the grid-iron, and making it to the final round.
The Finals, which conclude on March 31, will feature 50 military service members from the preliminary round, and will undoubtedly be one for the record books as our finalists compete for a chance to announce the Cowboys’ first round draft pick at the NFL Draft on April 26-28, 2018. Those not competing will enjoy front row seats to all the action, as well as the opportunity to rub elbows with Cowboy alumni, Cowboy Cheerleaders and take pictures with Cowboys’ mascot, Rowdy.
As we all know, our military service members have overcome countless roadblocks to get to where they are, which is why, at the end of the fourth quarter, we are so proud to put on the Caliber Military Combine. It’s an opportunity for our participants to showcase the head, heart and soul it takes to be a hero, while also giving us the opportunity to thank them for their service and have a little fun. And no, we don’t mean the mandatory kind.
So, mark your calendars for March 31, 2018, and get ready to roll on over to the AT&T Stadium because this year’s finals promise to be a huge hit.
